Un arhitect și un inginer intră într-un bar…

Gluma în cazul nostru e că cei doi intră într-o hală și se apucă de turnat betoane.

Suntem Vlad și Andrei, doi frați din județul Neamț și am construit proiectul TonBeton – firmă de finisaje decorative din beton - din pasiune pentru simplitate, modernitate și calitate în design interior.

Atracția pentru lumea formelor, a proporțiilor și spațiilor vine de când eram amândoi de-o șchioapă și îl însoțeam pe tatăl nostru, inginer geodez, pe dealuri și prin grădini la măsurători și apoi cocoțați pe planșetă, îl ”ajutam” să tragă linii la planurile de situație și relevee, ca mai tarziu să descoperim lumea fascinantă a desenelor digitale, modelării și scanării tridimensionale.

Am crescut în această direcție, declinată în două profesii: unul arhitect, întors recent în țară după ce 6 ani a fost partener asociat în unul dintre cele mai mari studiouri de arhitectura din Belgia. Altul inginer geodez, care a construit una dintre firmele de top din România în acest domeniu.

În 2019 am început împreună aventura antreprenoriatului și am construit în Roznov, orașul de lângă comuna noastră natală, TonBeton: mica fabrică, echipa, brand-ul și produsele – plăci decorative de interior din beton.

De ce beton?

Betonul este cunoscut în general pentru rezistență și durabilitate. Dar ceea ce mulți probabil trebuie să îi descopere este versatilitatea. Și nu în ultimul rând estetica.

Astfel, credem că munca noastră, care îmbină designul cu unicitatea artefactului, integrate cu ajutorul tehnologiei actuale, face lumea finisajelor de interior mai frumoasă și mai surprinzătoare.

An architect and an engineer get into a bar…

The joke in our case goes that they actually get into a warehouse and start molding concrete.

We are Vlad and Andrei, two brothers from Neamț and we built the TonBeton project - a decorative concrete tiles company - out of passion for simplicity, modernity and quality in interior design.

The attraction for the world of shapes, proportions and spaces comes from when we were both small kids and accompanied our father, a surveyor, out on hills and through gardens taking measurements and then perched on the board, "helped" him draw lines on the plans. Later on we discovered the fascinating world of digital drawings, modeling and three-dimensional scanning.

We grew up in this direction, which boiled up to two professions: one of us became an architect and recently got back to Romania after 6 years as an associate partner in one of the biggest architecture studios in Belgium. The other became a surveyor engineer and built one of the top companies in Romania in this field.

In 2019 we started together the adventure of entrepreneurship and built in Roznov, near our hometown, TonBeton: the small factory, the team, the brand and the products - concrete interior decorative tiles.

Why concrete?

Concrete is generally known for its strength and durability. But what most people still need to discover is its versatility and last but not least, its extraordinary aesthetics.

We believe that our work, which combines design with the uniqueness of the artifact, integrated with the help of current technology, makes the world of interior design more beautiful and surprising.
